Our Support Services
Our support coordinator will work with you to ensure a mix of supports are used to increase your capacity to maintain relationships, manage service delivery tasks, live more independently and be included in your community. We would support our participants through the NDIS processes and coordinating culturally appropriate services for our Aboriginal participants. We will provide professionalism when support you through your journey with NDIS.
Specialised Disability Accommodation
Mibayn & New Era 4 Disability- Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) refers to accommodation for people who require specialist housing solutions, including to assist with the delivery of supports that cater for their extreme functional impairment or very high support needs within cultural safely environment surroundings.
Mibayn & New Era 4 Disability- Short term accommodation includes respite, is funded for support and accommodation for a short time away from your usual home. It covers the cost of your care in another place for up to 14 days at a time. You might have a short stay with other people, or by yourself within cultural safely environment surroundings.
Medium Term Accommodation
Mibayn & New Era 4 Disability- Medium Term Accommodation is usually for up to three months (90 days). Medium Term Accommodation only covers the accommodation cost of where you stay. It doesn’t include day-to-day living costs like food, internet or electricity. Medium Term Accommodation also doesn’t include any personal care supports. We will ensure you will be cultural safe within your surroundings.
Mibayn would empower and encourage you to keep your connected to your local and boarder communities, if you require one on one support or group activities this support provides many opportunities to get you out and about within community settings, ensure to connecting with recreational and learning and cultural activities.
Daily Tasks/ Shared Living
Mibayn & New Era 4 Disability would like to ensure families and participants, if they are living in your own home, living in a shared accommodation arrangement or a rental property we can ensure that we’ll assist in providing you with a plan for you to achieve living independently within cultural safely environment surroundings.
Assist-Life Stage, Transition
Assistance with life stages and transition. This involves strengthening a participant’s abilities to coordinate their support and participate in the community and surroundings. Supporting you through entering the workforce or moving into independent accommodation.
Group/ Centre Activities
Enjoy a wide range of social experiences and activities including sport, Aboriginal arts and craft, music and culture group activities such as trivia, discos and day trips. We can also help you to develop your skills with classes in cooking, job skills and money handling.
Household Tasks
Our group houses have fully trained staff work with families and people to address the issues that are of significance. They help around with ordinary errands too. Tasks that we can assist with include cleaning of the house including mopping and vacuuming of the floors cleaning of windows and other general cleaning duties, ironing your clothes, changing your bed sheets, assisting with shopping of groceries, maintenance of your backyard including cutting the lawn and cleaning the garden.
